I have been bringing our cars here for years for Smog Checks. They are quick and friendly- and happen to be across from AAA!

Women are tired of being taken advantage of by auto service shops!!! This is my second review of the year. I feel disappointed, disrespected and ripped off.I was approved for the CAP program offered by the state, that helped to pay a portion of my emissions repair because my car didn't pass smog. The state list Fellows as an authorized shop for repairs through their program.Fellows auto diagnosed my car and stated the repairs needed were due to CODE P2004 (IMRC stock open). Work was performed May 3 2024. May 7 2024, I called the shop advising my gear shift lights were out, they were working prior. He denied responsibility. The energy was nice nasty from the start.Short quick answers, not a welcoming feeling upon visiting the shop, quick to minimize your complaint and deny any issues on their part. While on the road in, July 2024 my check engine light came on. I immediately called the shop to tell them my check engine light came back on.I expected him to tell me to bring the car back, for 2 reasons:it was within 3 months of them doing the work and I didn't drive the car often so I know I hadn't exceeded the warranty of 3,000 miles. He did NOT give me that option. He said get it diagnosed. It took time to get this done,ya'll know how life happens. February 2025 I contacted Fellows auto service station to ask for a print out of the repairs done to get this issue finally rectified. After 3 attempts, I received the invoice on Feb 28, 2025. June 15, 2025,I took my car to O'Reilly. They used the Free Veri Scan to help me identify the issue of the check engine light. Code P2004. This is the same code and diagnosis Fellows auto repair provided me and the state of Ca for the initial repairs in May 2024. I called the Fellows auto shop the same day after these findings.Sue answered.I explain the purpose for contacting them again.Immediately he became defensive and kept stating the warranty policy.I became frustrated in the mist of the covo and expressed to him why I chose this service station because I thought they operated with integrity and honesty. After all the going back and forth, I made a comment of him arguing with me and that I was so shocked that a business owner, especially a man was arguing with a customer and he literally mocked me, repeating,2x,a man arguing with a woman, just antagonizing. I advised him I felt he defrauded me and the state, by pushing my issue off and giving me the run around when I contacted his shop in July.He really became irate. Now the Convo has turned into both of us trying to be heard. He could have offered to check it to make sure it wasn't a manufacturer defect. If it was installed properly, why is the box stuck open?He expressed no concern to resolve .I suggested he could have resolved this issue in July by having me bring my car back within the warranty timeframe vs stalling time by advising me to get another diagnosis.Sue ignored me and says, maam, you can keep talking but I'm not going to hang up on you,I'm going to sit the phone down..ya'll know what happened next,he literally hung up..dial tone.By this time I knew there was no solution through him.Prior to him hanging up,I advised him I was going to write an honest review of my experience, I would file a complaint with the state and I will be contacting my local news channel to highlight the unfair service I received,he told me to do what I had to do..so here we go. BTW the mileage on my car from the time the repairs were done May 3,2024 to current June 16,2025 is 3,515 miles, that's over a year's time. I clearly was in the warranty timeframe of addressing my check engine light when I contacted them in July 2024.REGARDLESS of the outcome, I need my community to know what happened to me.This is unacceptable .Check this out... they have many 1 star reviews on Google. This validates I'm not the only one who's had a bad experience with Fellows auto service center. Not a BBB accredited business.I'm not surprised,I see why not.The lack of integrity, honesty and customer service gives a clear picture of who owns or runs this business.I'll keep ya'll posted.

Went in for an oil change, messed up my oil plug and it is now leaking. Had to get it fixed at another shop, they said I was 3 quarts down - heavy leaking.

A very dishonest and shady shop! They will take advantage of you while providing the worldβs worst customer service and trying to intimidate you when you speak up. Luckily BBB responded to my complaint, agreed they this business is dishonest, and was I able to secure a refund. AVOID! Other reviews echo the same comments. I felt downright unsafe after my interaction!!!
