🔧 AutoZone Auto Parts

I really hate doing this because the men and women that work at this location are great and I can't say enough positive things about their great customer service. My complaint is with management. I have been a customer at this location since the mid 1990s, a very loyal customer. Up until this April 2025 everything was fine, then my warranty file was tampered with by an autozone employee. I came into the store to warranty a battery i bought in November of 2024,The battery had a 2 year warranty. I was denied a warranty because there was no warranty history in their computer for that battery under my phone number. Ok, so i provided a receipt, Still denied a warranty exchange by the store manager. I called the district manager Jose and left a message explaining the situation and the seriousness of the situation, he never responded. I then called the regional manager Jorge and left him a message again explaining the situation and seriousness of what happened. Within 1 hour the district manager Jose finally called me back allowing me to explain in detail that it was one of his employees that maliciously altered the name and phone number on my warranty file,( I have pictures that no body has ask to see.) denying me warranty exchanges that im due. Jose contacted the store manager and told them to warranty the battery immediately and im thankfull for his attention to that matter. Within a few days the majority of the warranties were restored to my warranty file. However recently I was in the store, buying more parts because im still loyal to Autozone and noticed I only had 13 warranties under my phone number and that my warranty file was messed with again. I called Jose the district manager again, left a message and never got a response. I called the corporate office in Memphis Tennessee, explaining the situation to them, they said they would handle the situation in 24/48 hours. A week later, Nothing ever happened. Fast forward to August 4, 2025. I have another part that I need a warranty exchange for. I come back into the store with the part, In the box, with a receipt only to be denied again, leaving me again with the possibility that I'll need to purchase this part over again. The store manager reached out to Jose the district manager and was able to warranty the part for me after they talked. This situation has really left a bad taste. I felt like they thought I was doing something wrong, like I had stolen the part or was trying to pull something over on them even though I have the part, the receipt with my name on it and im in the store I purchased the part from. They took my ID and entered it in the computer which they have never done before and as a former Autozone employee i can tell you its being entered into a national database for retailers so they can track fraudulent returns. Again, making me feel like I did something wrong. Autozone has always had great customer service and a great warranty program, better then the competition so that's why I buy 95 % of my auto parts from them. But this is the last straw for me. I might take my business elsewhere after this. Over 500 parts on warranty gone and Autozone benefits from this so im sure thats why they are not trying to fix it.

First time at Autozone and it can be overwhelming. I was greeted with a warm welcome as well as being super helpful to what I needed for my car. Adding gas is the extent of my knowledge regarding cars, but Matthew saved my day!!! Thank you sooooo much for helping me!!! 🙏🏽 I wanted to write this review to always remember that kindness will be etched in people’s lives forever. 🫶🏼
